For coastal path walkers it is on the Milford Haven side of the Sandy Haven tidal estuary which has a ford crossing 2 hours and 45 minutes  hours either side of high water. The Pembrokeshire Coast footpath runs through the site which is immediately alongside the estuary and Sandy Beach.

By Car (from Milford Haven)

Take the Dale road from Milford Haven to Herbrandston. Turn left at the village school and follow the road to Herbrandston Hall farm. Carry straight on after passing village green and turn right at farm. Continue down the lane to the beach and the camping park is on your left.
